Got some old wood from a man who used to make xylophones. He passed, so I have no information about the wood. It is very dense and heavy, took pictures of the sides and the top of the sample piece. Any idea of what it might be?
My friend has the collection, I'll talk to him and get back to you.Rosewood is/was a very common wood used for xylophones.
Are you interested in selling a few pieces? My wife and I were both percussionists in high school.
