I bought Needle Threader and Seam Ripper kits from PSI. I did that so I could make two with one threader and one ripper in each. I ordered one kit in chrome and the other in gold, so that the threader is gold and the ripper is chrome. I'm very happy with how they turned out. I made them both with SpectraPly from Woodcraft. The red one is Applejack and the blue is Deep Aqua. The finish is Mylands and carnuba wax.

I love the idea of the contrasting metals serving a functional purchase. I may do that with the double-sided seam rippers, using one color for the large ripper and another for the small.

Great job with the needle threaders and seam rippers. I never thought of mixing and matching the kits so it's easy to tell which end is which. I've mixed and matched seam rippers and needle threaders but your idea makes it easier.

I made a bunch of these and finally my wife (a quilter) asked if I could put a flat on one side of the blank so it didn't roll off the sewing machine table or the cutting table and if I could make it slightly larger for aging, sometimes arthritic, hands. I went to 1" square blanks and offset the hole slightly offcenter so I could turn it down to 0.75" diameter with one flat side. The quilt guild loved it. Helps to give your customers what they want.

Nicely done!

I'm about to order a half dozen kits to build a small inventory for a future craft fair. When I asked my wife, she preferred the small and large seam rippers over the seam ripper + threader.

I don't know what the majority will want. Either way, those look great.

The flat side is a great idea.

I was just thinking though. You couldn't use a friction finish on it if it has a flat side. You'd have to use spray poly or something like that.

Yeah, and/or two possibilities came to mind this morning - a squared/hex segment in the middle as a segment, or a pen clip about a cm in from one of the ends.
