Thought I would post the pens I finished tonight. NO - not all tonight. I did my drilling and gluing on Saturday. End squaring and rough turning on Sunday. Final turning and polishing last night. I normally rough turn my pens with a carbide round scraper then finish them off with a skew later on. Here are the before and after shots.

1. Scooby Doo blank by Eugenio Soto
2. Vintage Cellulose from Mazzucchelli (bought 20 years ago)
3. Vince Kruszynski blank
4. Wavy Flags Acrylic Acetate blank
5. Turquoise pebbles acrylic Acetate blank
6. Orange/Black Swirl acrylic Acetate Blank
7. Vince Kruszynski blank
8. Aluminum Honeycomb self poured blank
9. Pink/Purple Acrylic Acetate blank
10. Tiger Padauk blank - I think I got this from Arizona Silhouette about 20 years ago. Had to re-learn how to do a CA finish!

Beautiful work. Never heard of tiger paduak. Definitely doesn't look like normal paduak, I would've guessed koa or mango.
I actually think this was mis-labeled. It looks like Curly Pyinma to me. Now I'm going to have to dig out the rest of my blanks and take a look.

Definitely not Koa or Mango. I spent 12 years while in the Navy on Oahu and still have tons of Koa and Mango. The wood smelled almost spicy while turning it.

All 10 of them are very great looking pens! My grandson would just go bananas if I turned him one of the Scooby Doo blanks. Just curious what pen kit that you utilizes. Keep at it………S
I used the Magnetic Pen Kit from Crooked Mill Woodworking. Super simple and looks great. I like how the cap is magnetically held on and also posts while writing for a nice balance.
