This is my first PSI Credit Card pen, in gold. The wood is new to me and is called hububalli. I have to say I'm underwhelmed by both the kit and wood. But it is a cute pen.

Kind of a Spartan looking kit, but that's not always a bad thing. I'm thinking that might look good with a serpentine blank, or some other vertical inlay to kind of elongate the geometry a bit. Or even something with a highly pronounced grain pattern like Zebrawood.

Yeah, that would look good, but I'm not sure this cheapo kit is worth it.

I buy a lot of exotic wood blanks from Ocooch Hardwoods in Wisconsin. They sell pen blanks for 50 cents each and they have Zebrawood (one of my favorites) among others. I usually don't mess with the Zebrawood at all, but some of the others like Wenge I've been playing with segmenting, and at 50 cents a blank if I screw it up I don't cry too much.
