I finished this pen barrel. The large lacquer on the surface was done by a lacquer craftsman. It took 3 months. It has not been shown that the pen holder has no time to make it. I have only recently completed a pen.

This is made of a very thin Abalone shell, called Lutin in China, which is attached to the surface of the wet paint, and then painted and polished. This process is very time-consuming, and a pen is the fastest It will take 2 months, and the next step can only be done when the paint is dry.

I found a problem, that is, the harder the surface of the lacquer becomes as time goes by. Therefore, in many cultural relics unearthed in China, there are very early lacquerware, although the wooden objects have not rotted after thousands of years.

I believe the word I'm looking for is exquisite!!! I once had the pleasure of traveling through China seeing historical landmark sites and that reminds me of the craftmanship of the items in the imperial palace. Nicely done!!!

Thank you for your trip to China. Yes, China used to have very good handicrafts, but most of them have been replaced by modern products. Interested people are looking for fun in these ancient crafts again.

When a product is recognized by many people, some people will make different styles to attract customers. I came to IAP for more than a year and learned a lot. There are a lot of great masters here, which saves me a lot of detours. If ask questions here, someone will be happy to help, or find the answers you need on the website. I have never touched a lathe. Up to now, more than 40 pens have been completed, so come here to improve skills. If you focus on this, you will do well, it's just a matter of time.
