Made 2 Pens today the clock part blank I am really pleased with the other not so pleased I found this very hard to turn like turning Rock and the shape not that pleasing. The material chipped out quite a lot and you can see a small chip in the photo.
I suppose I am leaning to turn Acrylic and have a long way to go.

What is the other blank made of?
Sorry it was unmarked came in the box with the rest of the Blanks.
Awful stuff to turn so hard like Rock just glad to get a pen out of it. Also difficult to finish. Its a Resin Bllank all I can tell you.
Its a beautiful looking blank pity I couldn't make a beautiful pen. All part of the learning curve.

Looks good Mike! The second blank is deer antler in Alumilite urethane resin. It is a very hard material to turn and requires very sharp tools with frequent resharpening. Bone can be challenging but I think you did good!

Well John it was an experience I was afraid to turn it to thin because it seemed brittle. I did enjoy turning the clock pen.
As I have never turned Acrylic/ Resin blanks its a learning curve. I am enjoying the experience. Happy Easter.
