I finally pulled off a pen I would not mind using as a daily writer with my own section. Blank is from "Displaced Canadian" nib is a Franklin Cristoph flex (Jowo #6) and is oversized to fit my hands with M13x0.8 triple threads

Mark, When I saw your very nice hand writing, my first thoughts were - "He is an engineer!" Then I looked at your "About Page" and you are! You have some very nice Japanese ink also. I used to have some (when I lived overseas). Great ink.

AND Great Pen!

Thank you. Great question, no the section is 19mm (exposed length) tip to tail is 137mm, capped 146mm. Is there a standard/ common order, method, and nomenclature for describing a pens characteristics?
@floatslow
Thank you for reply.
I don't think there is any standard for descriptions. . I was just measuring off the screen and trying to reconcile my measurements with yours.
For a couple of reasons .... one being to estimate the length of blank material you started with. . Another being to try to duplicate the proportions.
