Finally got a chance to finish this batch that I started back in November. These consist of walnut, mesquite, pecan, maple and poplar. All started as 11" diameter blanks and somehow ended up like this.

Thanx for looking.

Were these left overs from other projects joined together, or intentionally assembled for these beauties from the beginning? Excellent!

Hank - These were deliberate glue-ups. The first two bowls I posted in Nov. were from scrap. This batch started as 3 large cutting board planks approx. 14"w x 24"l x 2 1/2" thick and were then cut and reglued several times to make the random small pieces. The Ringmaster made the odd shapes due to the double curve cutting.

Chuck - These are just wood with three coats of satin sheen water-based poly. My highly skilled(?) photography does the rest. :p

I appreciate the nice comments guys.

That is why I asked. It is unusual to have such perfection in joining with ALL the pieces when it is haphazardly done. Yours showed not such spacing problems common in haphazardly joining. (And I DID look closely. 🙂 ) Well done and well thought out!
