Hello, I'm Marco from Pavia, Italy.
Thanks a lot for accepting me.
I got my first wood lathe one month ago and I found a lot of fun in turning pen.
I came to this great website looking for hints, methods and techniques to try to create unique pens.
Attached my very first set of pens.
Thanks again and kind regards,

Marco

Thanks! I'm new with woodturning but, to be honest, I'm familiar with wood since I'm a professional violinmaker. 😉

Hi,
Thanks a lot.
Finish is CA polished with tripoli powder mixed with baby johnson oil. Then finished with Super Nicko varnish polish.

Welcome Marco. Great looking pens. Join in the fun, ask questions and show off your pens.

I think we have a couple of people on from Italy. Teodore (Teo) is very skilled with pens, particularly in a Japanese finish called Urushi.

Hi Marco,

Welcome from California. Your pens are very nice! I like the different profiles. I too am interested to see your violins.

Hi,
Thanks a lot. I usually finish with some coats of CA, then I use tripoli powder mixed with light oil and after cleaning the surface I use a bit of Super Nicko varnish polish.
