Drill bit for Le Roi kits?

Hello Ed,
Was browsing the site and seemed to find conflicting information about the drill bit size to use for Le Roi kits.
Is the recommended bit 3/8" or 25/64" ?
Or is it too small a difference to matter?

Smitty named nearly every kit a "LeRoi". Some have brass tubes of outside diameter of .40" (sierra size), some have .37, some have .36.
Measure the od of the tube and pick a drill bit that works--tighter in acrylics, looser in wood.

I have tried to rename all the .40 kits as pioneer.
The "LeRoi" series will eventually all be .37
and the .36 will be discontinued.

But many kits are "out there" named LeRoi, so measure twice, drill once (or drill small and increase if the tube does not fit)
 
If building a deck-- 1/64" is the thickness of a hair. When drilling for pen tubes--it's huge!!
Letter drills U, V, and W are handy in those tube size ranges, as are 9.5 mm and 10 mm. Regardless of hardware manufacturer. Ed's suggestion to measure is a good one, as is the willingness to adjust a little depending on the material being drilled.
