Here is a pen I made on a whim, which started as me deciding I wanted to make something from this tortoise shell resin. It evolved into something that is vaguely inspired by the vintage Parker Duofold. I threaded it for a Bock #8 nib, and tried to incorporate some of the elements of the Parker, such as the distinct barrel finial, ball clip, and knurling on the barrel and cap finial. I made the cap band and clip from argentium silver. Threads are triple lead, 3mm pitch.

Excellent and beautiful work, John !!!

If you don't mind telling me, I would like to know, please, where to buy a knurling tool that does the type of knurling you show on this pen. . Thanks.

Maybe it is just a matter of buying the knurling wheels ... but I don't know where to buy those either ... ... I think I need the whole tool.

A wonderful pen. I do not know if it was your intention, but you certainly caught the soul and the essence of a 1930's Parker Duo-Fold, my personal favorite. Excellent work.

Thanks Mal. I just use the straight tool with the wheel on the end. I think I got it off amazon, and it came with multiple wheels of varying fine-ness. Keep in mind that different materials take knurling differently. I've had poor luck with acrylic, but this cellulose acetate takes it beautifully
