Still have some of this, and finally got everything lined up to where felt good about using the precious material. The color scheme of this is not something I would have ever thought good, but boy does it work.View attachment 246473

Beautiful job ! Love your design . Haven`t made a pen with that material for 10 years . Time to use it again .

Is there still somewhere you can get it? I saw where someone here sold a bunch of different types back in 2016 (edit: it was Steve G in 2017) ... and he had a type I'd never seen before. I would love to get some if I could find out the name and if it was available. One had a kind of "snowflake" pattern in purple, the other in silver / smoke.

Beautiful work. I too love the section/rollerball nose cone. And surprisingly I like the look of all serpentine material rather than some other material for the nose cone and section!

Beautiful pen in all respects. I like your nib design and profile.
What refill does it take ?

The Schmidt 888 and 5888s. I believe I have been precise enough about the stepped drilling and hole size that a Waterman rollerball refill will work as well. Not sure about the Mont Blanc rollerball refill as it has a threaded section near the tip. But maybe. I'm going to order some of each and find out for sure one way or the other.

That's beautiful! I mean beautiful! Great job on the pen. It's a wonderful use of some very rare material. I've got about 5 ft from a buy here several yrs ago. I'm always reluctant to use it and begrudge every inch I use! [emoji16]
