I won this blank in last years bash, generously donated by John U. The new puppy has been occupying I huge part of my time, but I love her to death. OK now about this blank, holy cow, it's not for the faint of heart. I would rate it pretty high on the difficulty scale, but it turned out wonderfully. I had to fill many seed pod voids and of course one right at an end of the blank. The blank is called "Mother Nature" , I believe. Because it contains seed pod and sticks and other stuff only John knows, I opted for a traditional CA finish. The pen is Nouveau Sceptor, plating is Rhodium.

Nice work, Ken !!!

Good to see that all your jig-making and perfecting has not detracted from your pen-making skills !!!!

Hey ! . How about a picture of the puppy !!! . I have been thinking about her and her adaptation to new parents !!! . Ever since your first mention.

Let's see some pics of Zoey !!!!

Very nice Ken! I'm glad you found the time to turn it. Anytime you have sweet gum pods in the mix, there will he seed filling. It's hard to get resin down deep in them and they often have seeds that fall out. Thankfully a little sanding dust and ca does the trick, as you found out. Yes, I call them mother nature because they are full of objects created by her. Thanks for posting! You did a great job!

Very nice. I like your choice of the Nouveau Sceptor to go with the blank. They definitely compliment each other.
