Has anyone worked with this material? If so what kind of finish did you use? Result?

If this is the same stuff that Vermont Freehand sells, which it appears to be, then yes. I finished the same way as I do with acrylics: Sand to 3000 and buff with Tripoli and white diamond

Here is my first Arvorin pen- turns well, sharp tools - don't get aggressive can chip. Makes a beautiful pen. Typical polish sand 400, steel wool, micro mesh, huts and Beals buffing pads.

I'm really glad you shared this with us. I've had a couple pieces of this "Ivory" that I was going to turn for a fountain pen. I thought it might be too much Ivory but after looking at this pen I should have used it. Great looking pen.
