Here is the latest from the shop, headed to Colorado. It's made from 10mm x 9mm carbon fiber tube with a Copper nib and rear insert. The mechanism is an all metal Schmidt SKM88. The clip was originally chromed. I had to strip/buff the chrome off to get the copper to plate properly. Hope you like it.

The actual plating was just a few minutes. I used some copper sulfate solution, a scrap piece of copper wired to the positive side and the clip wired to the negative side, both submerged in the copper sulfate. I used a variable power supply set at 1.5volts DC. I tried to keep the clip about 2" from the sacrificial copper. Just keep it moving in the solution while plating. A "D" size battery works too. Low voltage and low current works best. Most important is to get the clip very clean and don't leave finger prints. Lots of YouTube videos and Instrucibles on how to do it.
