A weekend project: I had the urge to make a pen from aluminum, as I have not done so since starting penmaking 5 or so years ago, but wanted to do something a bit more refined than the typical tacticool/edc aluminum pens largely available on the market. I based this one off multiple elements of vintage and modern montblanc pens I like, and mishmashed them all together. I used 6061 aluminum, with Ultem resin for the ink window and ink reservoir. I fabricated the clip and cap band from argentium. The pen has a piston fill mechanism, and is threaded for bock #6 nibs, as there are a decent amount of aftermarket feed and housing combos available that allow you to use other brand nibs in bock type housings. All in all a fun project, but would not like to do another for a long while!

Attractively old fashioned... Love the combination of aluminum and resin.
