I haven't received any pm on tracking.

I contacted the warehouse today and told me that the courier does not pick up packages on Saturday and Sunday. Normally, there is tracking information on the 20th.

Mine arrived today. Thanks again! I'll probably order more from you in the future. I'd also be interested if you ever get other sizes of taps and dies.

Thanks!

Thank you for notifying that you have received and like them,
There are different specifications of taps. China is now the Lunar New Year holiday. I will customize some when the holiday ends, but I want to know what specifications you and the pen pals need? I can customize it for everyone,

Thanks!

Cheng, depending on the price I would be interested in the M13 x .8 triple start tap & die also. And M14 x .8 triple start too. Or double start on either, depending on price if you can get them.

Hello Russ,

It can be purchased. The most recent is the Chinese New Year. You need to wait for the end of the holiday to see the factory's quotation. If the price is appropriate, I will customize some different specifications. I will give you a quotation at that time.

Thanks!

I consulted the factory just now, the taps can be made of hard alloy, but the price will be much higher. Compared with HSSE materials, the die can only be made of HSSE material, and the carbide is not suitable for die, such as a set of HSSE material. Do, the price will not be too high.

I believe HSS (HSSE) would be fine, as long as they are hardened and tempered.
I would be interested in the following sizes:
M9 x .8
M10 x .8
M11 x .8
M12 x .8
M13 x .8
M14 x .8
M15 x .8

All would need to be triple start. I would like both bottoming and plug taps for all sizes.

If the price is reasonable, I would purchase multiples of each - perhaps up to 10 or so, maybe more - after I test the first order for quality.

Thank you for looking into this and thanks for the other items I've ordered!

I'd be interested in the same M15 x .8 triple start set, one only, that Jarod wants, with both a bottom and plug tap and the split round die (1.5" diameter). If a .75 pitch is easier/better price that would be an acceptable substitute. A couple good quality matching tap drills (14.2/14.25mm) to accompany the tap and die set too, if possible. Might as well get the needed drill bits at the same time. ;)
Thanks.

I too would be interested in a complete set like this. I already have a M13x8 triple but would order a complete set if available.

I didn't read post #55 close enough  and didn't see the 9mm stuff. I would be interested in a set of them too, along with a couple 8.2mm drill bits.

I would suggest if and when you are going to go ahead with the taps and dies that you start a new thread.

Thank you for your information. I will find a suitable factory to do it. As the price of cemented carbide materials is too high and fragile, only HSS or M35 materials will be used,

Another problem is that when I make resin penholder, I will use drill bits of different specifications, but steps will be left in it. Do you have a proper reamer size to remove steps? If anyone has a reamer size, please tell me to customize it.

Thanks!

In machining you would drill your hole about 0.010" to 0.015"/0.025mm to 0.038mm smaller than finish size and the reamer opens the hole to finished size. That is contingent on the type and hardness of metal, the rigidity of the machine, lubricant and the feeds and speeds of the spindle. With plastics you will have to experiment to find what works best but I think the above should work for you, just don't ream at high speeds. There are machining feed and speed calculators that will have better info. The reamers you want to start with are called "Chucking Reamers".

Thanks Pete, I will take your suggestion into consideration. The reamer needs to be tested. Different tube diameters and lengths, with a suitable reamer, save some tedious steps.
