Hi Folks:

Well after sitting in its unopened box for 3 years, I finally set-up my Craftsman band saw. It's just for cutting larger stock into blanks. I used it last night (around 12:30am LOL) to cut some Italian Olive Wood. What I don't like about the saw (which I didn't need last night) is the fence.

I Googled-around and can't find anything designed for a 10" band saw. I was hoping Kreg made one for a 10", but don't see it.

Thanks for reading and your help.

Tony, you may end up making one, I've seen lots of them made from angle iron. Check out Pinterest and sites like that, I'm sorry to not be much help.

Tony, I vaguely remember the Craftsman 10" was almost identical to the Rikon 10" saw - it's possible the Rikon accessories might fit it. Here's a LINK to the Rikon "Deluxe Rip Fence System for 10-305"

You can take a look HERE (click on the tab labelled "CLICK HERE FOR AVAILABLE ACCESSORIES", it's the second item in the list.)

The Rikon customer support team has been excellent, and if you call them I'm sure they'll tell you if this is compatible with the Craftsman look-alike.

Thank you both. One of them is what I have, but thank you. Carter makes a magfence that I am looking at, but thank you!

Sure thing!

The other option would be to buy this Kreg fence system for a 14 inch saw and "coerce it" to fit your saw. It might require drilling a new hole for the bolt to attach it to the front edge of the table, I don't think it would be a problem if the slide-bar is longer than you need (although you could always take a hacksaw to the surplus.) It appears to lock using the front only, so it wouldn't matter if the fence overhangs at the back.

This was my first choice, but don't want to "coerce" or drill anything. Thank you.

I have a 20 something yr old mastercraft 10". I made a sled for it but needed a fence for something on it. Looks a little crude but I threw this together real fast. Worked pretty good. Lol I have a 17" now for any ripping.

I made a super quickie from some aluminum angle I had laying around. It was "temporary". That was a few years ago. I'll try to remember to snap a pic later.

Thank you. I actually bought the magnfence 2 and the fast tool. Thanks for thinking of me.

I have his first version of that fence and also bought version2. I started out making my own with a block of wood and drilled holes for a couple earth magnets under it and works just like the fancy blue fences. I have also used clamps like these but of course shorter length and they work just as well. Fence on a bandsaw is not critical unless you are slicing thin stock otherwise it still needs milling after cut. https://www.amazon.com/PRO-GRIP-STR...hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583726541141245&psc=1
