To view private messages you have sent but haven't been responded to?

Several possibilities Steve.
Open the PM icon (Letter). In the right upper side there is a filter box. Use "received" and put in who you are tracking.
OR, Open the "Show All..." icon and it will pull up all your PM's. If you look at "replies" and see zero, then it was not responded to.

Funny, I couldn't see the filter box on my tablet! Also, the last two private messages I sent didn't actually go through because I neglected to enter a topic or title.
