This is the classiest pen that I'll probably ever have the opportunity to make. Leon Klepin at Cocoon Blanks is the artistic wizard that created the blanks. The segmented wood and puma section was turned down pretty thin and then holes were drilled in the blank and the 4 diamonds were set. The diamonds actually protrude a small amount through the center of the brass tube. The blank was then cast in Royal Palm. I must admit that I was very nervous turning these. I knew that the diamonds were low in the resin, but I definitely didn't want to mess up on a $300 blank and hardware combo. I'm real happy with results and will be keeping this one with my private collection.

Oh .... I see that Mark already has !! . Oh, well, ...., in that case, let's just say "Empressive" !!!

You did a fantastic job on that Ken! I would have been a nervous wreck. šŸ„µ
Thanks, Michael! I would have liked to maybe turn the diameter down a bit more. The resin seemed to act like a magnifying lens and it was hard to discern exactly how close I was getting to the diamonds. I suppose I could have contacted Leon, he recorded the diameter at which the diamonds were set but that would have taken away from the suspense.

I'm viewing this on my ipad and I think I bruised my chin from my jaw dropping and hitting my workbench. Absolutely amazing pen. An outstanding job from both of you.
