I am looking to do a small amount of casting. This is for a non-pen related project.

What I am wondering is what, if any, resins could I cast with that do not require a pressure pot and would work to use Alumilite dyes. I am well stocked on Alumilite dyes from stabilizing, so I'd rather not have to go out and buy more dyes.

Bonus, but not a requirement, would be if that resin could also be used with TransTint dyes, as I have some of those around from various projects.

I use Liquid Diamonds. It doesn't require a pressure pot. You need to be careful with how you stir it, because you can introduce bubbles.

Liquid Diamonds resin seems to be what you are looking for. I have used the alcohol-based TransTint dyes with it, works just fine. I haven't used Alumilite dyes but I'm thinking they would probably work fine.

Thanks for the input!

Angi, have you used the Alumilite dyes with it?

Good to know I can use the TransTint with it. Unless someone confirms one way or the other, I may have to experiment with the Alumilite dyes.

I have used Liquid Diamonds with some success. I do put it in my vacuum chamber to draw out the bubbles after mixing.

Thanks, everyone - looks like Liquid Diamonds will get the job done for me.
