So we have had WWE Network pretty much since it came out, and we have had Netflix for a few years. With one of the kids cell phone we got a free Hulu account. I think my wife has amazon prime with something she has.

So what in your opinion is the best (not meaning Kodi)? What shows are on one that are a must watch for you?

There is one on Netflix I like, called the Ozarks. The basic story is a guy washes money for people, and he moves to a small resort town and starts taking over.

Depends on your tastes.

A few of our more recent binge worthy shows would include:

Netflix
Stranger Things
Love, Death and Robots
Ozark
Black Mirror
Orange is the new Black
Lost in Space
The Umbrella Academy

Amazon

The Boys

YouTube
Cobra Kai

As for streaming services, we use YouTubeTV for our traditional cable channels and Netflix and Amazon for the rest with the occasional splurge for HBO Now but now that GoT is over we probably don't need to do that again for a while.

Amazon - Marvelous Mrs. Mazel, and if you like Star Trek like Sci Fi - Expanse
Netflix - Dead to Me, and if you like general Sci Fi, Altered Carbon

I forgot about Dead to Me. Definitely a fun watch. I got a half dozen into Altered Carbon a while back and for some reason never finished it.

Prime - Bosch - LAPD Detective series based on the bestselling books. The author is executive producer and the shows stay pretty true to the print, although each season covers 2 or 3 books. I've read the books and am a big fan of the show.

Also on Prime is The Expanse, again based on a book series and the best Sci-Fi in years. I'm not a huge SF fan but the series is excellent. We've discovered the first life from outside our solar system, and it's nothing like we've imagined. As humans do, we've managed to harness it's power for war...

Yeah I like the Expanse also, waiting for more to come out though.

I like Animal Kingdom, which is available on Amazon and is originally on, I think, TBS cable. There are also some great shows on Masterpiece, whcih can be gotten through Amazon.

I recently set up a Plex server in my home. It does a nice job of showing the available media and playing it. The server software retrieves metadata from IMDB and other places, and displays the movie poster and short synopsis, it also has names of the actors, directors, etc...

I use a program called MakeMKV to convert DVD's that I own into media files, and another program called Handbrake to convert the makemkv output to .mp4. Plex will play MakeMKV files but seems to work better with .mp4 files. Both of these programs can be downloaded free.

Once I have moved the media files to the plex server, I can view them on my televisions using the plex app. There is a plex client app available on Roku, and some Smart TV's have a plex client. The plex server and client software are free. You can set up the server software on a computer or a NAS unit. Plex also works with Chromecast clients.

I bought the plex pass. It gives me the ability to share my media with friends over the internet. They can view using a plex client. The plex pass gives you some additional content, but it is not required for personal use.

Plex also works for Music. You can set up play lists for Video or Music files. Play lists can be played in order or shuffled. The music works well, if your tv is connected to a home theater sound system or a stereo.

I have Amazon Prime, and a Fire TV box. I subscribe to the Hulu no-commercial service. We cut the cable several years ago...don't miss it. When the Olympics came on I subscribed to Sling for a month to watch the Olympics.
