Love it or hate it, this the lowest price that I have seen. I use it for cutting blanks - there are much less costly ways and tools to cut blanks (HF has a chop saw that folks seems very happy with). I also added the carbide blade. I bought my Proxxon 4 years ago, I think I paid $230 - should have waited LOL.

Hi JT, what are you sorry about?
Are you selling yours or are you pushing these as a good price. Because if you are pushing then I think there are better options and that price has not changed over the years as some suggested. You asked so if you are selling I hope I did not hurt your sale.:)

1. Not selling mine
2. Not pushing, recommending,etc.
3. Informing those that had expressed an interest that I learned of a price-drop (I use an application called camel-camel-camel that send me alerts).

I just wasn't sure what you were sorry about. Thanks for clarifying.

I have the Proxxon chopsaw and it is a fine tool. It does a great job of cutting blanks even of the hardest specie of wood. Using the abrasive blade it is
unsurpassed for cutting tubes. I did improve on the stop that governs length of work piece, I paid full price for mine, but am glad I bought it.

Good to hear from you! Say Hi to the Mrs. for me!

I was Googling and came across this model. I'm giving a lot thought to purchasing it. The size/weight looks perfect.

Just keep in mind the depth of cut - max 1" at 90 degrees. Also, it does have somewhat of a visibility issue when trying to view where one is cutting.

I have been eyeing an angle grinder holder/stand - but can't find one that has a decent rating. (I like gadgets :-))
