Why not....if it fits, it spins!

With a recent roof shingle replacement, I purchased new roof attic fans to replace the original ones. While taking one of the old ones apart, I held the fan blade in my hand and had an idea 💡.....what if I mount it on my lathe?
Well, it fits and spins✅.....not practical but it did move some air around. You just have to watch your knuckles😉

By the way I see you have an older Nova 3000. I have the one my father had and will recommission it down the road. It has the same square beds you have. I would love to get another or two but the older style square beds are hard to find. I would also like to do the VFD and new motor conversion to it too. I have a 1 1/2hp new and a 2hp used to pick from. Do you still use the belt positions along with the VFD or just stick to one setting?

I'll hold your beer. ;)

Pete, This one has the control box with brake, reverse, and variable speed. I don't think this is a true VFD like the new ones. I change belt positions occasionally but usually have it in pulley #4 or 5 out of 8 positions. For a big bowl, I need pulley 1 for torque.
