I assume you picked up Steve's card - did the demo at the MPG. He demoed the older model but just got the newer one. He is in the Chicago club.

Yep, sure did. Dawn and I attended his demo as I have been toying with the idea of getting one. His demo is what sold me on getting this one. May add a second also!! LOL!!

They're addictive. I started out with 'I think I'll try one', and now there's a pair of 1500mW units with jigs, a 3000mw open-bottom unit, and a new Master 3500 (3500mW open rail) residing in my shop. Not to mention spare boards and laser diodes...

LOL!! I wanted a 3000mw but where I ordered it from was out until later this month. I went ahead and ordered a 1500mw with every intention of ordering a 3000mw later when they get in. Seriously considering the 3500 also!!!!

I just ordered a Benson Pace rotary jig. (I have the t-shadow jig).

The Benson Pace jig is supposed to allow you to engrave larger items such as bottle stoppers. It is also supposed to handle closed end pens.

If you are in North America, you can get it at www.NMClasers.com. I did have some difficulty in getting it ordered. They do not seem to have many in stock.

I am finding the t-shadow jig a little difficult to use. It is difficult to get the rubber band on the holders. Once you get it set up, it does do a nice job!

I'm hoping the Benson Pace jig is easier to use than the t-shadow.

Good Luck with your new engraver.

Jerry

I already have the T-Shadow jig as I picked it up at the MPG. I will be getting a BP jig when I order the 3000 later this month.

I didn't know you could use Bluetooth. What program or drivers do you use. Ideally something created in keynote or sketch up would be good.

There is a NEJE app in both the google play store and the apple store. It has a little light on the side, and when it connects to bluetooth, the light turns blue. Readily connected to my iPad and my android Smartphone. The app could be better, but I suspect they will improve it. It is first generation. It even has one of those little scanable QR patterns on the back you can scan in with your phone or ipad and it will download the app. Google NEJE bluetooth and it will bring up some tutorials.
