Recently, as I was on a search to make my parents some pens, Glen (glenspens) generously traded me some kits, and in the box he threw a beautiful hybrid blank in. I turned it today and surprise! A smiley face!! I really love how this turned out! Thank you so much, Glen!!

It can't be just a coincidence of casting, etc., that a smiley face appeared !!!

But then, how could you design that in "a priori" ?

Whatever ... it makes for a very gorgeous pen ... a real eye-stopper ... and quite the conversation piece !!

Well done, Rach !! . I think you hit a jackpot of sorts on this one !!

BTW ... what are all those black things from ? ... they look like shavings or turnings off something !

Thanks, guys!
Mag- lol, didnt think anyone would want to know about the "sawdust"! You're right, it's shavings off of a large 7/8 inch plastic hdpe that my husband was making into a speaker mold. The shavings were everywhere, so I put some in the pic. It made Jon laugh when he saw the pictures, so it was almost an inside joke.

You are welcome, that's way cool (the plan was to put a smile on your face with the blank) hope it did

Seems as if these faces show up everywhere.
