Walnut mini bud vase

I've had this piece of figured walnut for some time now and finally made something with it. It stands just over 3" tall and just under 2" at the widest. This is the first one I've made from wood and it went a lot faster than the acrylic ones I've made, I'll be making more. Finished with friction polish which never quite seems to work for me.

Thanks Steve. I still don't have the shine I've seen many on YouTube get, but it's the best so far.

Thank you. I used to do a hand rubbed lacguer finish on my drums and it's still my favorite, albeit very time consuming. That being said, I've been seriously considering using lacquer again, so yes, I probably will do a wood bud vase in the future with a lacquer finish, and maybe some pens. Just don't hold your breath...
