I see that a few of these contests ask for 200-300 photos. Being new, have I missed the point of a joke or is there a typo of some kind...

Derek Is a great guy, HUGE self promoter of his contests, but he didnt put any photo requirements in his contests.
Therefore I helped him out by adding a couple photo requirements.:biggrin:

Well you know how it is when you get to taking pictures of you pens. First you start off and your like "Okay pen let me see the zoolander look. Oh that's nice!" and you snap a couple pictures. Then your like "Okay, now show me the angry pen look. That's it, that's it!" and you snap a couple more pictures. Then you say "Show me the pouty look" and you snap a couple more, then your like "Now you're a tiger, you're a ferocious tiger!" and you snap a couple more and before you know it you have 200 photos!

I believe its for PEN VOGUE magazine Skip, Im thinking he wears a Beret and a scarf while taking photos. You know the one, its the magazine on the check out isle with the cover over it. Some people consider it Pen Porn.:biggrin:
I may be mistaken Skip. I think its actually "PEN" thouse magazine.

200 - 300 photos - Reminds me of my time in Japan in the late '90s. We got a new co-worker from the US who was a major computer geek and layout artist (so she though) with a degree in computer sciences. She emailed and 100 co-workers across Japan requesting them to send in photos of their work - about 10 for each worker. . . . And Most of our workers did not know how to size a photo or what photo sizes even were!
When I saw the email, I quickly emailed her to rescind her request, and cautioned her that her mail box was about to be closed if she went through with it! She didn't answer back in the next couple of hours, so I called her. "I know what I am doing" she said, "I have a computer science degree". ME: "OK" "You don't know how to speak Japanese yet, do you?". Her: "What has that got to do with anything?". Me: "Oh, Nothing right now".
Next day from another coworker: "Geek Lady's email box has been shut down from overload." :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin: Yep, she had to get someone to do some big apology interpretation to the ISP.
