Best pen so far: Deer Hunter kit with deer antler blank.

I've only been turning for about a month, and so far it's been mostly pens. I've made 6 pens, and I think this one is my best so far.

My lathe is an old Delta 46-700 and has a slight wobble in the headstock so getting thing perfectly round is a chore.

Deer antler was definitely much different to turn than wood, but interesting non-the-less.

As I'm sure others will say the same to newer turners on working with antler. Please remember to work in a ventilated area and wear a respirator.

That being said that's a beautiful pen

Very nice pen. You might try a less busy background next time so the pen is more visible. Kind of gets lost in the marble background.
