Hi there is there anyone from WESTERN CANADA interested in forming a chapter for the west ? The Ontario folks have toyed with the idea of forming a chapter for several years, however even if it comes to "light" it does not include anything west of the "lakehead."
So, I was hoping that some of the "turners" from the prairies, or from B.C. would like to form & join a chapter just for us in the west.
I know there are several turners here in the "lower-mainland" of B.C. & I know of a few in Alberta & Saskatchewan, & there must be some from Manitoba so, if you think this might be a good idea, then please let me know.
We can figure out the logistics later as we converse.
So come on guys & gals, lets get together & swap some ideas, show each other a few tricks & by all means have a bit of fun in the process.
Thanx for listening...Ric.

I think a chapter in the Lower Mainland would be great !! . Not sure how it would work for all four western provinces, but there is no harm in including them too.

I think you are right "Magpens" since you have added your comment, there has been not one other reply, & no interest shown anywhere else that I can see of.
I guess visionaries such as ourselves, are just too forward thinking for the rest of the population. They really can't see any of the advantages of fellow enthusiasts getting together to share common interests, problems & concerns that we experience due to our geographical area.......Perhaps in the near future this subject can be approached again
