I have only been turning since March 2014. I will be late to the party with many things :-).

I keep my bushings in the original baggies they came in, and I am religiously diligent about putting them back in those bags.

I have a compartmented plastic case and I store one baggie of bushings per compartment. Nothing else goes in that case. The bushings are NOT loose in the case.

Sometimes I use a large white tie-wrap from the bulk food section of the grocery store to thread through the bushings of a matching set. I write the name of the bushing set on the tie-wrap. This is useful when the original baggie wears out.

That's my way of doing it and don't try to change me !!:biggrin::biggrin:

Wow, that's really OCD. And oddly, almost just what I do.

Erm ....

Last year, I managed to snag some old candy topping variety pack containers from my stepmom when she was done baking the cookies.

They are 6-compartment and sit upright, like using slices off a pie ...

My 7mm spacer bushings are loose in one compartment ... I keep an old exacto-knife in there that I keep sharpened, as well as my hacksaw blade pieces that I use for fine detail cutoff work.

The rest of my bushings are arrayed around the containers, still in their baggies, but the bags are folded and oriented outwards, so that I can see which set is which through the clear acrylic containers.

I believe my method is numbered #2 ... get stuff from mom.
