New used lathe

Alright. Here's my new to me used Jet 1642 lathe. It's the 115v version as that's all my current setup allows.

Now my jet 1221 looks like a mini lathe next to it.

It feels a lot bigger in person than it looks in a photo.

Nice looking lathe. Now the bigger pieces will be easier.
I hope that nothing 'flys' off in front of those windows.
The cost of turning could become dangerous.

enjoy Dan. i think I would swap the position of the two lathes. A piece of pen blank is not likely to take out a window but a large chunk of bowl definitely will.

Good job. It is an excellent lathe! Better than my 3520 in that the tail stock does not weigh 40 pounds

I've never had anything launch behind the lathe. They always come at me. :-/

This thing has so much less vibration for rough bowl blanks it's crazy. And everything looks smaller. A 10" bowl looks like a 6" and my g3 chuck looks micro.
