A couple custom pens I recently finished. The Black Rose with Bock nib is a longer pen measuring about 6 1/2 inches in length capped. The translucent Blue Sky pen with Jowo nib is around 5 3/4 inches in length. For both pens I used 14mm cap tap/die, 10mm section connection to the body and respective taps for 6mm Bock and Jowo.

Both pens are made of acrylic material. Blue Sky is the name of the translucent blank which I bought at Woodcraft. The Black Rose is the name of the blank which I bought from another pen turner here at IAP; I believe Exotic Blanks also carry the black rose.

I did not flame polish the translucent blank. Just sanded the inside with several grades of sand paper. Had a hard time sanding the back end toward the finial. Retrospect I should have sanded before gluing in the finial.
