.50 Caliber cases

..I have for sale ( Fifty), .50 caliber shell casings. The pics show the head stamp and a case that was partially cleaned up on the lathe with a scotch bright pad only. I will sell them in 2 lots of 25 for $76.00 each including shipping to cont. USA. Or...$3.00 each plus shipping! Thanks..Jan

I believe so. They polish up nicely with scotch bright pads.

If they really are nickel-plated shellcases, I'll take them all. If they're brass, well I already have plenty of those and don't need more.

They are NOT brass, for sure! A magnet sticks to them. If they were Stainless or Brass the magnet would not pick em' up. ....Jan

From the color and the fact that they attract a magnet they have to be steel cases. The original color is a coating to resist rust. Once polished they will need to be clear coated to prevent rust and tarnish.

Yes, Most Likely steel but Nickel plated!
