A (belated) Thanks to its_virgil - Don Ward

I believe it was a little less than a year ago that my kids participated in an IAP event. 2 of them came away with some very nice rattlesnake blanks form Don Ward. One of my son's (Cole) turned his for the BASH youth contest in February. It is now his "go to" pen when he needs something signed.


My daughter is still a bit nervous to turn her set.
My apologies on the late thanks Don - Your support of the youth activites is much appreciated. Turning those blanks has given Cole more confidence on the lathe - he now has a couple pens in process.

Looks like he did a good job on that pen. Don's definitely one of the good ones. Now, with that being said, some of the Witchita Falls snake casting company that he keeps.....welll..........

With some of this weather they're having out that way, snake skins may come into short supply as maybe all the snakes have drowned.

Yes, he had a couple good years in the pinewood derby with the cub scouts

You're welcome Dave and Cole. I'm delighted Cole had fun turning the blank,that he was successful, and that he enjoys using the pen. I knew he would be successful. I look forward to seeing the daughter's pen. No apologies needed but they are accepted. Thanks.

Thanks Derek. My snake casting company which I keep isn't that bad.He has some good qualities. I need to check on him..we've not talked in a couple of weeks.
