When I type out a response, by the time I'm finished, the site logs me off. Then when I log back on, I get a blank page (even if I click the redirect link), and lose my response.
This happens every time. Is there a setting I need to change or is there something else?

Thanks!

The other thing I found is type in the first sentence. Then post it. Then go back into edit and you can add to your response.
Another thing you can do is type your response in word and the copy and paste it when you are logged in.

Both ideas work. Both have their merits.

When you login there is a little box to check near the login box to keep you logged in.
Thanks, but I've checked the box. Same result.

If it continues, I will try one or both of your suggestions. Thanks.

That is always the result of a wonky cookie. I suggest you remove cookies for penturners.org, restart your browser, then log on, remembering to check the "remember me" box.

I strongly suggest fixing it rather than getting into the habit of posting one sentence then editing the post.

For the computer illiterate - refresh my memory on how to remove cookies.

You can often clear your cookies by deleting your browser history (it will sometimes confirm if you want to delete the cookies, or it may be a check-box next to the option dialog to delete your browser history (usually in your browser's option settings...)

if you do a search for "cookies" you may be able to find the folder, and the cookie files MAY or MAY not be visible (your operating system may be set up to not show system files, and cookies may be considered system files...)

Here is Firefox info:

Here is Internet Exporer info:

Delete and manage cookies in Internet Explorer - Windows Help

Here is Google Chrome Info:

A google search for this with your specific Operating System and Browser and version # will yield results pretty quickly...

FYI, I forgot to mention, if possible, try to ONLY delete the cookies for sites you are having problems with or don't use regularly with login criteria. These cookies are the things that keep your bank site, facebook, youtube, IAP, or various other sites from knowing who you are when you go to them. If you are like me, you rely on the site to remember your user/account name and only have to enter your password. If you clear all the cookies, ALL the sites you use will not have any of your login info next time you go to them, and if you can't remember your account information, you have to go through whatever recovery system they have, which I HATE doing!!!
