I'm not understanding the question.

The difference between the 2?

Mostly style. Quality is much the same. Different tubes and bushings. Go together well.

I'll buy more when they go on sale again.

Nope. They are both in the jr size range.

As I said, the difference is in style more than size.

The upper tube of the desire is 1/2", the upper tube of the eagle is 12mm. So the eagle is a bit smaller but neither has the heft of a full size gent / statesman.
 
Besides the styling:

So I'm assuming Dan you have turned both pens the desire an eagle. Besides the diameter of the upper barrel being different between the two pen, is the lower barrel the same diameter or Is the bushing the same size?

There very little out about these pens... Any other information you have about these pens would be helpful.
