Marian; Welcome. there are several members here in the DFW area. Check out the "Members List". Also check Craigslist for lathes in your area.
 
I am in Topeka, Kansas and have a Jet JWL-1236 Wood Lathe for sale. It is in good shape but does show normal wear and tear. I will be asking $450.00. The problem is I cannot ship. If you can figure out some way to get it delivered I will do my best to work with you.
