Lignum Vitae - tree of life

I love this wood, from the smell while turning (cinnamon and allspice), to how you can make tea out of the shavings, to its history of healing and use as underwater turbine bearings. It has to be the most versatile wood.

I may keep this one for myself.

I hate this site. I HATE this site. I HATE THIS SITE! I keep seeing things I want to try, but just don't seem to have the time. Great pen!

I hear ya. I see all those closed end, hidden clip pens and need/want to try it. Woulda looked good on this LV.

If my nose could have a choice of 2 woods to turn exclusively it would be lignum vitae and olivewood. They don't look that bad either.

If cb=center band, yes. It is just part of the upper blank that I segmented a horizontal line of brass into to allow the wood grain to be relatively uninterrupted. __________________
Very, very nice Kelly!

Beautiful Creative Pen, Kelly.
Love your treatment of the Segmented Cap, Very Clever, Subtle and Beautiful.
The Choice of Lignum Vitae was Brilliant.
Looks Fantastic, and well deserved on the Front Cover.
Keep pushing the envelope.
Brian.
