Three Letter Words search

It seems we use a lot of three letter words and acronyms (sometimes 4 letters but that's a different story:biggrin

The search function doesn't allow for three letter word searching unless I'm missing something. Any way that I'm missing? I've tried using quotes also.

I tried searching three letter to find an answer but the system wouldn't search "three"

No but that is a good reference. I mean being able to actually search for those terms using the search feature.

Ex: Zen Pen has no matches due to using three (or less) letter words.

Closed end pen only searches closed as another example

Go to the home page and use the Google search tool (upper left). It will find a phrase "closed end pen" and only search IAP.

Similarly, you can just go to google, itself, and do a quick search on just IAP.

A quickie search on "zen pentuners.org" will have all of the results from this site bundled as the very first result.

A 'classier' search on "zen siteenturners.org" will give an unbundled list of all 'zen' results from just this site.

The only downside of both of these methods is that they don't give the results by posting date, so it is not super easy to find the most recent threads on a topic.

Thanks to all who offer "search" tips for use here at IAP. That is probably one of the most valuable tools we have, as it leads us to the OTHER valuable tools.

Yeah. My posts are riddled with typos and misspellings. Great catch. You win the internet.
