I just tried these non woven sanding pads on some acrylic projects and liked the results and the way they cut. I got them at Peachtree Woodworking Supply.

The grits available are 360,1500 and 2500. They are good for wood also and can be used wet or dry.

They are running a sale on them at the moment. Here is the product description from the website. They also have a short video about them.

Mirlon Total is a new innovative product from Mirka. The product has been developed using Mirka innovative Total Coating Technology. Mirlon Total is more aggressive than its forerunner Mirlon and is more open and more flexible. The strengthened fibers make Mirlon Total strong and long-lasting. The product produces a dense scratch pattern and rapid result when sanding. The dense scratch pattern reduces the tension in the surface, which ensures a good result when painting. Mirlon Total is mainly used for mattening of hard-to-reach areas prior to painting. It is also used when feathering out, removing overspray in a blending zone and for spot repairs. Mirlon Total can be used both wet and dry.

I just ordered some. My wife has been after me to polish our corian countertops. So I saw these, and bought some. Of course they come in packs of 10, so I may end up with a few extra for me. And Peachtree has free shipping on orders of $50 or more. So it just made sense to pick up a few things that put me over $50. The things I do to keep harmony at home.
