Hello Everyone,

Just a short update on my wife's surgery. She was operated on March 3rd for pancreatic cancer. She has been in the hospital since then for many post operation problems. I think this is day 83 of her being in the hospital. In the past week she has been doing a little better and will probably go to rehab this week sometime. According to the surgeon and Oncologist say she is cancer free at this time, so that part was very good news. I thank all of you that prayed and sent good thought for her as I believe that is what has gotten us this far. Please keep them coming.

Take Care,
jim

Hi Jim,
Hang in there ... it does get better.... I've just finished 5 1/2 months of bachelorhood while my wife was in the hospital recovering from a blood infection that started in Dec, the infection attached itself to her Mitral valve in the heart, causing a mild stroke in March, and then to correct the valve problem open heart surgery... she finally got home about mid April and is still recovering... she's almost having to learn to walk again and goes into rehab next week for the heart operation....

Bachelorhood sucks when you're used to having someone around all the time... we're keeping good thoughts and well wishes coming your way.

My thoughts are with you both!

This was a LONG hospital stay! Hopefully the rehab will go smoothly and quickly. I have assisted with 3 rehab stays for mother and mother-in-law, went well, but in all cases HOME is better!

Be well !

Thanks everyone for the prayers and concern. It really helps to have a great place like this to come to once or twice a day for some stress relief. Thanks again.
