Tried casting some origami paper in PR. It's not perfect, still have a couple of things to correct, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

How do you hide the seam?
looks very nice

It actually hides well with the pattern. Putting the clip over the seam also helps.

I've since stripped this one down and will make a new blank. The seam lifted a bit. Seems the resin broke down the glue at the seam and allowed the paper to lift. Future blanks like this will be given a thin coat of CA before casting.

Nice job! What type of glue are you using on the paper?

I used 3M Super 77 as a test. I was worried about adhesive on the back side bleeding through to the front. It stuck down great but either the resin or the heat from the catalytic reaction as the resin cured caused the paper to lift at the seam.

I'm going to give it another go today with the only change being that I'm going to give the paper a couple of coats of thin CA once it's wrapped around the tube.

I'm thinking that should work. I'll get pics up of the results - for better or worse.
