Bent Barrel Trimmer????

My friend told me yesterday that he had something to tell me that I wouldn't believe. He told me he bent the barrel trimmer rod cleaning out a 7mm tube. I looked at him funny and said "Do what?". I couldn't believe it, but it's bent a lot and way beyond repair.

Has anyone else ever had this happen or seen it?

I'll get some pics tomorrow. We closed up shop for the day today. I don't see how he got it out of the tube unless it was halfway in and the blank slipped out of the vise. I don't know and he doesn't either...LOL.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. My friend says he doesn't know how it happened. I'm confused as well.

He is an older gentleman and we do use a drill for cleaning out the tubes and not a drill press. He could've very well dropped it. I wanted to take pictures, but he threw it in the trash and he said it was almost "L" shaped.

I am in the majority here,, bending a barrel trimmer is just about impossible. Things happen fast and I have learned that anything is possible
