Smitty, I'm glad to read that your wife is home and doing better - that had to be very scary! Now that she is home, I'm sure that you'll pamper the heck out of her!

Actually, I am being pampered - three of my beautiful (and bossey) daughters have been here acting like a bunch of mother hens who think their father is senile and have been helping. I raised them to be independent women (I have one accountant who is a partner at Ernst & Young, two high school principals and one Manager in the parks dept at Cary, NC.) and I sometimes think I did too good a job.

Oh, man, Leroy, C Diff is nasty. Hope she is feeling better soon, but that stuff can hang on for months. Is she taking probiotics? They help. Been there...done that!

Sharon

She is on medication and they are watching closely...and there is a stronger medication if the one she's on doesn't work. It seems to b working though.

....God's speed for a full recovery. I am sure I speak for all here on IAP .
Take care of your "Bride" and yourself. This is GREAT news! Be well.......Jan

She is getting bossier by the day --- a good sign. We did miss an appointment today though because the roads were awful this morning it looks like they'll be OK tomorrow though.

Leroy, its good to hear that she is home and getting better. Let the girls look after you a little bit - you looked after them for how many years? It seems that women get along better with other women when they are not feeling well so you just pamper her to no end. Best wishes for a speed recovery.

How is she doing, Leroy?

I got the C Diff after taking a powerful antibiotic. The C Diff was resistant to the antibiotic, but it killed off all the "good bugs" in my digestive tract and left the C Diff a clear field! It was worse than the infection that the antibiotic was supposed to treat. Hope she is feeling better. My Dr put me on probiotics to restore the "good bugs" in the digestive tract after getting the C Diff under control. They really helped to get me back to normal.

Her situation contracting the bug was about the same as yours.
And the treatment is also pretty much the same...she does seem to be recovering well so far and she is seeing the doctor(s) again tomorrow. But she is feeling a little better each day and hopes to resume semi-normal activity in a week or two. By semi-normal I mean going shopping (with me along to do any lifting and/or reaching the top shelf) and her scrabble game etc.
