This should start a good one. What do you think of Google Glass and the privacy issue. A few night club/bars here in Northern California are starting prohibiting the wear of them in the establishments. Now I know there are cameras all over but this is a little to much and some body is liable to have them remove for them.

I dont mind as long as you have respect and decency with it.
Like take it off when talking with other people and such.
If your walking down street then its ok. I can understand businesses asking people to take them off just like alot of the same places have no camera's allowed rules.

I think that the bars that are prohibiting them are looking for some free publicity. I have tried them and they are not always recording. It is easier to start recording with a phone.

The thing that got me thinking about it was one interview where the young women attitude was if you don't want to be recorded stay home. With that attitude some one would remove them for her.

When in a public place a person has no expectation of privacy. Their image can be taken. This is how the upskirt guy in Boston was found not guilty. What he was doing was NOT against the law. This little loophole got closed really quick. In a private establishment the owner's rules rule. On your front doorstep you have the right to say no pics, and have a sign in your lawn that says no pics. Problem is, if the person is standing on the street then technically their is no way you can stop them. Some bigwigs are challenging this. How successful they are depends wholly on who they are and what jurisdiction they are in.

Unfortunately people assume tha,t because they are able to take a picture, they should take the picture. Further proof of the narcissistic road society is traveling down.

I am uninformed. what is Google Glass? Should I Google it?

Whoops, looked it up. Glasses that take pictures. James Bond stuff.

I start thinking after my first post, I wonder how that young lady with the attitude when if I approached her with my .357 on my hip? After all I would be within my constitutional right. Not much to do today taking care of grand son so my mind wanders. I know the cop would be all over me but the look on her face would be priceless.

In some states that have an open carry law neither the cop or her would be surprised. Here in OK. we have an open carry law that passed about a year ago an a license is required to openly carry a loaded firearm, but any business that post no weapons you cannot openly or concealed bring a gun in.

This women gave off the vibes that her you know what don't stink and she could do what ever she wanted and screw you. Her whole attitude stunk but she would be the first to complain if you used your rights any of them. in California you wouldn't dare carry openly every city and county has various laws and ordinances against it. I don't think you can have your rifle in the rack on the rear window in your pickup any more. I have concealed weapon permit but don't carry unless we are stealhead fishing up in far northern CA as the river is in Pot country or up at the family cabin in the Sierras.
