This is the pen I made for my swap partner in the 2014 Australia Day Pen Swap on the Woodwork Forums-Australia

It is Jr Gent 2 in Black Ti, dressed in Hairy Oak with a custom finial from the same timber and a closed end.

Beautiful pen, Fred. I really like the closed end & custom finial!
I started on my pens today - hope to finish by Mon if nothing goes wrong.

Your 2014 swap partner is a lucky egg as, I was in 2008  Love that Hairy Oak and, pleased to see you CAN still dress up a kit.

Nice work mate!

That looks awesome Fred. Great piece of timber. What did you use for a finish? I like it.
Harry

Thanks Harry, used CA.

Well, your pen from that swap (and the GREAT box) still sits in pride of place in the swap collection!
That Hairy Oak is something else, my only regret is that it was the only piece I picked up on my trip to North Queensland last year. Have to find some more so I can make a pen for myself.

Beautiful pen.

Thanks Jim

A Beautiful Pen, Fred.
Great choice of Blank and Jr Gent II.
Love your closed end treatment, and Custom Finial.
Magnificent Fit and Finish.

Thanks Brian, it is always nice to go that bit extra for a pen swap.
