Dean, Two yrs ago my dearly beloved contracted two of the most viscious blood borne Cancers, she has type 2 Diabetes her prognosis is stable to excellent I have a heart murmer as well so with 7 death sentences pronounced on me the last many years I have an understanding of where you are at. I draw strength from my faith and the power of healing and will include you and yours in my prayers mate please be as strong as you can facing these circumstances. The day before New Year I tried to learn to fly like 007 accidentally from my roof, no broken anything miracles do happen regularly mate.

Dean; Sorry to hear about you recent troubles !!! Everyone in your family has Bonnie's and my prayers !! If you should need help with anything, a ride, an errand run, kids to be watched, give me a call. I'm only a few miles away!! Wishing you and yours the best outcomes. Jim S
 
Prayers and healing to your family . Does she have Type 11 Diabetes ? It is reversible with diet and exercise. My wife had it three years ago and is fine now. Would be happy to share any info on the disease that I have . Just ask.

Thanks to all the prayers and well wishes. Without going into too much details (and breaking one of our IAP rules) - I'm glad for the thoughts. My wife's journey is hard, but I have my own spiritual one to take too with its own challenges. I'd love to answer each of you, but thanks to all... There is a few of you that I should answer:

Thanks Peter.. It's a weird place - we feel like things can't be any worse, but there is always plenty of rough spots for everyone. I'm attempting to strengthen my faith, hopefully that will in turn strengthen me.

Thanks Jim! I think I'm going to back off the woodworking show this year, so you'll have less pen competition :biggrin: , but I hope to stop in for sure still. (My only kid is 14 so she doesn't need watching, but I'll keep you in mind if something else comes up. Luckily most of my family is close).

Yes, she has type 2 (has for a while now). How much is reversible we just don't know. The answer last week seemed much better than this week, but she is cleared to start exercising again.

To ANYONE... If you have type 2 diabetes, please take care of it - diet and exercise can go a long way to help. Diabetes is a nasty, nasty thing and causes many different kind of issues. Diabetic retinopothy is what caused the issues for my wife, but there is lots of other issues too.

Well Dean, I guess there won't be any competithon this year at the show. I also will not be showing this year. Because of the heart surgery, I couldn't sit or stand in one place that long. I may see you there though, if not, you and your's have our prayers and blessings. Take care !!! Jim S
