Recently I was in Boise, ID and wanted to spend a short time trying to find some historic wood from that area.

While "Googleing" Boise historic buildings, I ran across the Idaho Candy Company and found out they continue to operate out of the same factory that was built in 1909.

I dropped by and they were more than happy to hand over two pine drawers from the factory, circa early 1900's.

Here are some photos of the blanks. Two are the original wood and two have been stabilized.

That's very cool of them. Did you have to buy the two drawers or did you do a barter for a couple pens in trade for them?

Always wanted to go hunting around Houston for some historical wood. Never think about it when I have the time to do so.

I might be wrong but that looks like milk paint on the blanks. Milk paint makes for such a cool look.
