Turquoise Ebonite

After having a lot of orders over the holidays I am finally getting to where I can make a few custom pieces again. This one is turquoise ebonite with a 5 mm bock nib. Triple start 12 mm threading on the cap. Comments and critiques are welcome and thanks for looking.

Looks great Phil. The top finial is nicely flushed and even with the cap. Threads are clean cut. Finish is great. I really like that ebonite piece. Where did you get it? And how did you like turning the ebonite, compared to acrylics? I've been wanting to try ebonite, but I probably have to cut down my mistakes first. Thanks for sharing.

Other than the smell, I like turning ebonite. Turns better than alumalite for me. Several places carry the ebonite.

I get very little odor from ebonite. Most of the smell comes from cutting the rods, after that rarely.

I will say this piece had the least amount of odor of any I have ever turned. Definitely will be using it again.

I put off using the stuff a long time. didn't like the smell nor the feel of the stuff. I am slowly getting past the smell.

I like the shape of the body, not sure if I like the cap 100%

I'm good with the smell or feel. I just keep breaking every piece I use. I'm much better with ceblo for some reason.
